Autumn Lookbook

It's my favourite time of the year again and you know what that means?  It's time for layering.  Boots replace sandals, and chunky jumpers make their long awaited return.  As the air turns crisp and the golden leaves begin to fall, autumn invites us to slow down and layer up.  I love layering and the the style that comes with Autumn and then Winter.  Jackets are my whole personality and I love how simple but chic an outfit can look with just jeans and a blazer.  The golden tones of the leaves matching the shades in the clothes and the temperatures that make you want to burn a candle and sip a pumpkin spice latte.  The most noticeable shift in my style this Autumn compared to last year is the jeans I am wearing.  I am really enjoying the carrot and barrel shape jeans as I just find they add depth and shape to my outfits.  They are all from M&S as they do the best ones and I have worn them to death already.  Here are eight of my favourite looks so far this Autumn that I really enjoyed wearing and if items are still available, I will link them below or similar items.  Autumn fashion reminds us that style can be both functional and romantic and I hope I inspire you to recreate some outfits and get dressed up this Autumn!

LOOK ONE

I wore this outfit in Manchester and it is a very simple look, but one that is really effective.  This gorgeous brown suede jacket is from H&M, but looks so expensive and these jeans are a great fit and also H&M.  Just by matching the grey jumper and the grey socks, it ties it all in together.  I just love wearing socks and loafers, I think it looks really cool.

LOOK TWO

I wore this outfit to see Jade in concert in Birmingham and it was super comfortable, but I felt really effortlessly cool in it.  Again I am doing socks and loafers, but these are sheer socks.  I am also loving a V neck jumper with a white top underneath and this one was from H&M.  Lastly along with these carrot jeans from M&S, I have this black leather jacket that ties the whole look together, which is also from H&M.  I really have found the best bits recently from H&M.

LOOK THREE

This look feels really 90s and I am here for it.  I thrifted this suede bag and this check blazer from vinted and the scarf is in the same tone from Ralph Lauren.  This image is actually from last year, but I can't wait to wear it again this year.

LOOK FOUR

This look is really simple and one that I have worn in many variations over the years with different styles of blue jeans.  With Barrel leg jeans, the shape does all the talking and makes this look really chic and worn with the mesh flats makes it really stylish.

LOOK FIVE

This look gives me all the Ralph Lauren vibes, but with a twist.  The vintage Burberry trench coat I picked up from Portobello market a few years ago and by wearing it with sheer socks and loafers, it gives it an edge.

LOOK SIX

This is an outfit I wore last year and I'm looking forward to re-wearing it again.  This is a beautiful tweed blazer I got last year from H&M, but you can wear any oversized tweed blazer if you have one for this look.  I'm wearing a simple brown top and brown shorts underneath, with tights and a pair of Zara burgundy riding boots.  Lots of boots in this style are being sold this year again.  This felt really country chic, which was perfect for my day in Oxford.

LOOK SEVEN

I absolutely adored wearing this look, I felt very golfer chic and it's also a look I can wear again coming into Spring.  This sweater vest was from Zara last year, but they are very in trend again this year, so you can buy many variations.  I love these M&S carrot shape jeans with the look too and the burgundy ballet flats tie in the tones in the vest.

LOOK EIGHT

I left the best look until last.  I wore this outfit in Manchester last week after seeing @Cocobeautea on Instagram wearing something similar.  I felt so good in it and Autumnal and tying my hair up in a clip gave it a 90s vibe.  The Suede jacket is the same as from Look one and these white carrot jeans are from M&S.  Yes I did buy the jeans in every colour from M&S, when they're that good, you buy it in every colour!!  The Chanel ballet flats just give it a more feminine edge and help make the jeans blend more with the brown of the outfit, so it's not all a strong contrast.
