January favourites

January is a very long month where you need to let your pay packet last for far too long!!! I got paid on 20th December and after Christmas and a 6 week stretch before getting paid, life is hard and money is short.  January Blues has very much kicked in.  The top two items I bought right at the end of December, but I am including them in January as they arrived after I wrote my December favourites and I didn't want to miss showing you them.  I am 100% in my jackets era and I hope you are not counting how many I have bought over the last year.  I am aware I will have to wait a few months to wear them, but I am always usually a season ahead when I am purchasing things for my wardrobe as the best bits are always released early.  So I do like to get in there early!

What I’ve bought this month:

1) H&M white tweed shoulder pad jacket - This Jacket is so 80s with the shoulder pads, I absolutely love it!  I have a few jackets/cardigans in this style, but with the big buttons and the big shoulder pads, it was just different enough for me to keep it.

2) H&M Oversized grey pinstripe blazer - This blazer is so oversized that I can't wear it with jeans, but looks absolutely incredible over a dress with heels and the arms pushed up.  I have also worn it with shorts, tights and boots for a more casual look.  It just needs to have something tight on the legs to make up for the oversized top.

3) H&M sequin jacket - This was out of stock already a week after I bought it so I can’t link it, but I have found a similar one on Asos.  I don't have anything that has sequins and this year I just fancied it for Christmas and New Year.  This was right up my street as I can wear it with trousers and not feel too dressed up, but still feel like I have that Christmas sparkle.

4) Mango beige tweed jacket - This Jacket I caught in the sale and I am so happy about it.  It's the most expensive looking high street tweed Jacket I have ever seen.  I think it really looks like it could be from Celine.

5) Coach loafers - I bought these coach loafers from Bicester village and I love them!  They look so cool and classic with the above tweed jacket.  I love a monogram moment and these are so much more affordable than the Gucci ones and I still love them and feel super special in them.

6) H&M black puff sleeve top - This items is out of stock sadly as it was a huge dupe for the by malina top I loved. If you have the budget I will link the by malina version.  This top is so good to dress up a pair of trousers for an evening look.

7) H&M black knit top - This is the perfect basic top for Winter when you don't want anything too bulky or you need something for layering.  I need it in every colour now!

8) H&M gold earrings - I can’t find the exact ones on the website, so I have linked another amazing pair. H&M always have some really good affordable options and you can dress up any outfit with a statement earring.

9) H&M oversized black coat - I had really low expectations for this coat as it was so affordable, but when it arrived it felt and fitted like it was far more expensive than it was.  I paid £50 and I think it makes any outfit look so chic.  It is in theory a maxi blazer with shoulder pads, so maybe not a super warm coat but I wouldn't wear it as that.  I have worn it so much since I received it, that I have purchased it in grey which you will see in Feb's favourites.

I got some super lovely and sentimental gifts for Christmas which is always my favourite to receive.  My sister had my London Marathon medal framed and my Mum my wedding bouquet dried and framed and a pillow made from my Papa's ties. These are so special to me and were my favourites to open.  I got some other really nice gifts also that I will show you below:

1) Maroon coach bag - I really wanted a red bag to go with the red loafers I have.  Red is the colour of the season and I am leaning right into it.  My husband gifted me this one and I love it.

2) Zara Black boots - These are out of stock online, so linking a similar pair.  I have heeled black boots, but I wanted a smarter pair with a pointed heel and a stiletto and these looked perfect.  I love how they look with midi and maxi dressed and also with a shorter dress and a midi/maxi coat over the top.

3) Smoothie glass - I started drinking smoothies as a breakfast option last year, so I was really happy to get this and have been drinking my smoothies from it since!

4) Oliver bonas earrings - I have wanted these earrings for ages and was so happy when I opened them.  Big statement gold earrings make any outfit look better.

5) Monica Vinader bracelet - I am trying to get the perfect bracelet stack and remember to wear it this Summer, so I was so happy to receive this and add it to my stack!  I love that I know it will not tarnish and will last for years.

My Wishlist:

1) Bulgari bag - I thought I wanted the green bulgari bag and I have done for years, but recently I have been drawn towards the gold version and I am definitely considering this more at the moment.  I feel I would get more wear out of it than the Green.  Gold in my opinion is a neutral and can be styled with so much.

2) Manola Blahnik maroon heels - These heels are stunning and the colour is just beautiful.  This will only ever stay on my Wishlist though as I can't see myself ever wearing them.  I already own the green version which I love, they were my wedding shoes.  But I can't see myself getting much wear from them as they are so delicate.  Who's idea was it to make satin shoes???

3) Adidas gazelle 85 brown trainers - I am in my trainers era and really enoying styling my clothes with trainers.  These ones are really beautiful.

4) Mango red scarf - This is sold out online, but I have linked another one below.  I really love the idea of wearing blue jeans with a jumper, coat and a red scarf.  It gives we 90s vibes and I am here for it.

5) Mango maroon ballet flats - These are also sold out on Mango so I found a similar pair.  These are the perfect shade to match the Coach maroon bag if you wanted a matching shoe and bag moment.

6) Ralph’s takeaway cup - I love the idea of having a takeout cup outside with me, but I never have a bag big enough to put it in when I'm finished.  Therefore I never end up buying one, but I love the idea of it.

7) Ralph Lauren white and blue shirts - I am really enjoying an oversized shirt right now with jeans.  I think it's a really easy way to look effortlessly stylish.

8) Valentino loafers - My final wish list item are the Valentino loafers.  I am on the hunt for a pair of loafers for my birthday and these are definitely one of the ones I will try on, along with the Gucci ones when picking a pair.  Most loafers that are not Gucci are very chunky, but these look like the perfect amount.
