Autumn/Winter lookbook

The temperature in the air has dropped this past week and I have felt myself reaching for my blazers, which has been the best feeling.  Blazer season is my favourite and when I feel most myself.  I love Summer, but you can't be as creative with your layers, it's harder to style as the trends are much simpler.  I just love layering, even some summer dresses look amazing transitioning into Autumn with a blazer and a boot/loafer.  If you have transitional pieces that can be used throughout the seasons, you are winning.  I have bought a few new items this season, but many pieces I already had in my wardrobe as I have a pretty good Autumn capsule wardrobe.  A capsule wardrobe consists of Boots, loafers, blazers, a trench coat, leather jacket, white t-shirt and jeans.  As long as you have these, you can build on the rest to get the look you want.

1) LOOK 1 - The trench coat is a classic and one that never goes out of style.  It has been around for years and you don't have to go high end and get a Burberry one to look good.  Although if you did invest in a Burberry trench coat, it's a classic and will be something you get good wear out of.  I love this open, but equally if it's raining or a bit chillier, it looks great closed and tied.  I've worn the simplest of outfits underneath as well with black jeans and a black t-shirt and I still felt chic.

2) LOOK 2 - Neutral Suit trousers and a cropped jumper.  The key to this look is the neutrals and keeping the tones similar, but I love how comfortable this one is.  Mixing the tailored trousers with the comfy jumper is a great look.  It makes these smart trousers look more casual and transition from work wear to something you could have brunch in.  I've tucked my jumper under and into my bra to create the cropped look.

3) LOOK 3 - The navy tones in this are great.  I don't wear much navy, but it looks amazing with rich browns, so paired with these boots and a tan bag would finish the look off perfectly.  I got this jumper from H&M and then found this blazer on vinted for not much money.  I recommend looking on vinted for capsule wardrobe items as they will always be there and it's great to shop second hand.  The neckline on this is very different for me and screams countryside mum, but I kind of love it!

4) LOOK 4 - I never though I'd be a double denim girl, but I think this look is really cool.  It's all down to the wash and flair of the trousers that really elevates the look.  A trench coat over the top to leave the  house would finish it nicely.

5) LOOK 5 - This might be my favourite look out of all of them and the only new thing I bought was the belt, which was only from Amazon.  I've seen this look all over my pinterest page and I loved it, it even turned out better than I expected.  The belt was only £16.99 and comes in a lighter tan and a black also.  It's a great wardrobe staple, I can also imagine it looking beautiful in Summer around a white shirt dress.

6) LOOK 6 -  I've seen these Chanel style boucle jackets everywhere and boucle blazers.  I have this one also in green.  I do find that some look a bit tacky and it's hard to find the balance with this look.  I personally prefer the shape of these boucle jackets to the blazers, I think they do justice to the trend a lot better.  I think this look is super simple but looks really put together and chic.

7) LOOK 7 - I saw this look on tiktok and I really loved it, it's a great way to see the satin skirt through to the chillier Autumns months.  Right now it's a tad warmer so I'm wearing it with a white t-shirt and a blazer and I also love it.  I'm glad to see the satin skirt still in rotation as I have a maroon coloured one and also lots of satin slip dressed that can have jumpers worn over them or blazers to transition into Autumn.

8) LOOK 8 - I just love a palazzo pant, I think they look so stylish!  This also came as a coord and although I love a coord as well, I think these are more wearable on their own.  I would wear these to work with a blazer, put a jumper on to go shopping or put a slinky top on and heels for a dinner look.  For me also, my husband is Pakistani and I spend a lot of time around his family and in Pakistan, so this outfit is very classy and conservative, but I feel also it's super trendy.
