Winter Lookbook
As you all should know by now if you read my blogposts regularly, I love Autumn and Winter as I love layering. Jackets and coats are my favourite things and I really enjoy the layering and styling of all the accessories you can play with. I have quiet the collection now and this Winter I have really been enjoying shopping my own wardrobe. I have bought 3 new coats this Winter, but they were second hand from vintage shops and flea markets and therefore I can't link them. That is the direction my style is going, I am trying to mostly buy second hand. Therefore, I have made the decision to stop adding links to my look book posts as I 'd like you to feel inspired by my looks and try and recreate them using items you already own or by looking on Vinted for missing pieces. This is where I get the most joy in fashion, the thrill of thrifting and the joy of being able to recreate outfits. I spend so long on Pinterest and then have long styling sessions to loud music and I feel like I'm in a movie. Here are 8 of my favourite looks I've worn this Winter, go on and have a styling session and have fun trying to recreate the ones you like!!
1) LOOK ONE
I wore this look to Bath for a day trip with my sister and I felt so chic. It's really simple yet it feels very 90s, which I am loving at the moment. I am also loving the way a blazer looks done up with jeans and boots right now, it's very effortless.
2) LOOK TWO
This look is a little more formal and could be very suitable for work. I don't tend to wear tailored trousers like this casually much anymore, but I really liked the way it looked paired with a tonal jumper and coat look. This coat was only from Asda can you believe it a few years ago, but styled this way it could be from Massimo Dutti.
3) LOOK THREE
I have really enjoyed wearing faux fur this Winter and this is a look a wore for a day trip to London. The outfit itself is very simple with a plain jumper, jeans and boots, but the outfit statement is the coat and that is all it needs. This one I picked up from a charity shop for £12!!
4) LOOK FOUR
This look is a very similar look to look 1, but with a few changes. I have kept the blazer loose and swapped the heeled boots for loafers and socks, making it a slightly cooler and edgier look. I love a socks and loafers look!!
5) LOOK FIVE
This was another London day look and I felt amazing in this. Again it is so simple though, I'm wearing just a black jumper and jeans and boots and this brown cape is doing all the talking. It adds the shape and drama and I don't need to add anything else. This one was from Zara a few years ago and they bring out different variations each year.
6) LOOK SIX
This look is one I recreate every year but with different shapes of black coats and blue jeans depending on the style that is trendy that year. It's very 90s and I love that style. I've gone with a straight leg blue jean here, but I have also been enjoying this look with a barrel leg. This big slouchy green bag is also a winner this year and I got it from ASOS.
7) LOOK SEVEN
Look 7 is one I recreated after being inspired on Pinterest with a Tamara Kalinic look. I get so inspired by my favourited influencers that I often try and recreate my favourite looks. This bag you may have seen in 3 of my looks and it's one of my favourites and was only from H&M!! I love the layering I have done here and that is what is key for this look, the layering of the t-shirt and the cardigan sticking out with the belt showing and the scarf and the coat. Finishing off with the socks with the loafers. Each little detail adds to this look.
8) LOOK EIGHT
This was an outfit I wore to Bicester Village and I felt super chic. This is a very tonal looks with burgundy pops. The coat and trousers are a matching tailored lighter brown with the chocolate jumper and the bag and my shoes are a burgundy. This is very simple, but just works so well.
